This light and airy cottage can accommodate up to 4 people (+ baby) in two bedrooms (one double and one twin). Both bedrooms face the front of the cottage maximising on the lovely views. Downstairs the open plan living and dining room is furnished to a high standard in a traditional style and comes equipped with a DVD player and stereo system. The well equipped kitchen has a range of built in appliances including a dishwasher and a separate freezer. The decked veranda is the ideal place to soak up your surroundings and enjoy alfresco dining or a quiet drink as you watch the lights come on over the town and the Castle Jail as dusk arrives. |

Within a short walking distance of the cottage you will find yourself in the centre of this pretty border town with its colourful buildings and floral displays. Steeped in history with its fine historical buildings such as the ancient Abbey, Mary Queen of Scots House and The Castle Jail it provides the visitor with a variety of sightseeing on the doorstep. The visitor can also enjoy Jedburgh’s fine selection of restaurants, pubs and unique shops. Take a relaxing riverside stroll or for the more energetic Jedburgh is an ideal base for walking, cycling, golfing or fishing. Walkers are spoilt for choice with a range of conditions for all abilities whilst the Border’s Abbey Way links Jedburgh with the great Abbeys of Melrose, Dryburgh and Kelso. Cycling can also be enjoyed on way marked and forest routes. Golfing enthusiasts can play Jedburgh’s 18 hole golf course or buy a freedom of the fairways pass that enables them to explore a variety of the borders golf courses. The keen Angler can enjoy the good choice of river and loch fishing that is found nearby. Children are not left out either with a variety of places near and further a field which to keep them occupied. |
